The performance “untitled with thread #01” was further developed into this one-on-one performance. Each person spends 5-10 minutes with the performer in a small room.
It examines the balance between absence and presence, through playing with juxtapose and equilibrium.
In this work, she examines the relation of her extended body length with the dimensions and positioning of a thread. Working with slow, subtle, gentle, precise choreographic movements, the thread and its transformation is the actual point of focus, not only for the performer, but also for the audience.
Time is expanded, experienced and shared. This facilitates a new way of experiencing. The performance opens up a space and the time to just “be”, but at the same time fully be present and concentrate on one single thing, offering the possibility to enter a common, shared experience.
Only one person can enter at a time, and spends 7-10 minutes with the performer in a small room. The thread is the main material to work and connect with, to create this intimate, close and very fragile atmosphere between performer and audience.
The performance happens in silence.
